Winter Snow

April 8, 2013 § 2 Comments

Icy winter snow –

Freezing flakes cascade our cheeks,

Our veins indigo with cold.

Gentle winter snow –

White flakes caught in eyelashes,

Our cheeks plump red as roses.

For the 8th day of NaPoWriMo, here’s a sedoka. Again, fairly short and sweet. This is another syllabic poem (I may be getting better with syllabic poems… hopefully… maybe… probably not) and wasn’t too difficult to write. Although I guess my poem is pretty… basic.
