Week Two and the Big Finish

I’m going to keep this one kind of short but basically I hit 50k last night and am now up to a grand total of 50,034. I’m pretty happy with how things have been going, especially considering the fact that I’ve reached 50k way before I was supposed to, or even intended to. In any case, I do plan on continuing on writing the novel throughout the month, though at a more gradual pace since I have exams coming up in the month of December which I really do need to start studying for!
I’m not going to set myself a specific word count goal to reach before the end of the month (But I’m hoping I’ll be able to do around another 20k. The last 3 days of the month, I have actually planned (and booked rooms for and sent out e-mails about) NaNoWriMo writing sessions that will be taking place in our university, hosted by our English and Literary Society (Of which I am a committee member of) so I hope to get a good deal of writing done during those 3 days (At the last of which the session will go on from 12am – 10pm! Yikes!)
I hope that everybody else’s NaNoWriMo journey has been going well, whether you’re behind or ahead on the wordcount! And let me know any thoughts or experiences of NaNo you want to share in the comments.
P.S: A small tip that I picked up from somewhere that I can’t remember but often helps me in getting a better wordcount than usual: Finish your writing session in mid-sentence (even if it bothers you massively, that’s kind of the point!) because then when you come back to it, you’re more likely to get back into the swing of things easier!
